Emily Costain
Emily is an Architect at HOK who works across sectors such as Healthcare, Heritage, Mixed-Use and Transportation. Having qualified in 2018, she trained at the University of Nottingham, The Royal College of Art, and The Bartlett. She is a member of HOK’s LGBT+ committee and is an active contributor towards EDI initiatives.
She is interested in the way inclusion, equity and social sustainability show up through the built environment.
During her studies she was part of a research collective that documented the decline of marginalized LGBT+ spaces and her work questioned the relational dualities between identity politics and space.
In her spare time, Emily enjoys good food, wine, and walks with her partner and their dog.
